Eleanor Levine's writing has appeared in more than 80 publications, including Fiction, Evergreen Review, The Toronto Quarterly, Faultline Journal of Arts and Letters, The Denver Quarterly, Santa Ana River Review, Spoon River Poetry Review, South Dakota Review, The Citron Review, and Heavy Feather Review. Her poetry collection, Waitress at the Red Moon Pizzeria, was published by Unsolicited Press (Portland, OR) in 2016. Her short story collection, Kissing a Tree Surgeon, is scheduled for publication by Guernica Editions (Canadian publisher) in 2020. Eleanor received her MFA in Creative Writing from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, in 2007, where she studied with Richard Dillard and Jeanne Larsen. She is the former editor of The Eleanor Levine Newsletter, and has interviewed numerous celebrities, including Abbie Hoffman, Andrew Sarris, Sidney Biddle Barrows, Al Lewis, Matt Dillon, Shirley Chisholm, Sally Jessy Raphael, Catharine Stimpson, Liz Smith, Kate Schellenbach, Arthur Danto, Eileen Myles, Jaime Manrique, Sarah Schulman, Quentin Crisp, Robbie Benson, Michael Musto, Eva Marie Saint, Noam Chomsky and others. She lives with her brother Michael and their two dogs and three cats along the Jersey Shore.
